What happens when you employ a Lift Consultant?
Stage 1: Preliminary Proposal and Cost Estimate
1.1 On first contact a Lift Consultant will discuss your requirements.
1.2 The Lift Consultant will help you develop the design brief.
1.3 The Lift Consultant will submit a preliminary proposal and programme.
1.4 We will conduct meetings about the preliminary design proposal.
1.5 The Lift Consultant will submit a scheme design and preliminary cost estimate for the client’s consideration.
1.6 We will provide recommendations and guidance for the client to select use of materials, equipment/installation options etc.
Stage 2: Preparation of Detailed Design, Cost Estimate and Tendering
2.1 We will review and study relevant drawings and regulations.
2.2 The Lift Consultant will prepare detailed design and colour scheme.
2.3 The Lift Consultant will prepare a programme.
2.4 The Lift Consultant will prepare a budget estimate.
2.5 The Lift Consultant will prepare a tender document including the schedule of works, form of tender, specification and particulars for the client’s consideration.
2.6 The Lift Consultant will conduct pre-qualification of contractors, invite tenders and conduct a tender analysis.
Stage 3: Contract Administration and Site Supervision
3.1 The Lift Consultant will prepare contract documents.
3.2 The Lift Consultant will conduct site inspections to monitor the progress and quality of works.
3.3 The Lift Consultant will liaise with the management office for necessary arrangement of site works.
3.4 We will provide advice to the client on necessary variation works if any.
3.5 The Lift Consultant will provide advice on payments to contractors.
3.6 The Lift Consultant will issue certification of Practical Completion.
3.7 The Lift Consultant will monitor the contractor on rectifying defects.
3.8 The Lift Consultant will conduct a final inspection upon expiry of the Defects Liability Period and preparation of final accounts.
