1. An increase in breakdowns.

3. A growing list of work recommended by the competent person who carries out the statutory examination on your lift. This list is usually in one of three categories:

a) A safety issue giving you a specific time in which to have a repair carried out that will also be reported to the HSE or the local enforcing authority.
